About National Park Seminary:
Originally built as The Forest Inn in 1887 as a summer resort hotel, it was leased and later purchased by John and Vesta Cassedy in 1894 to be the National Park Seminary for young women. It was later called National Park College and operated as an all women's school from 1894 to 1942. The architecture was all designed by Emily Elizabeth Holman, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. Acquired by the Alexander Company of developers in 2003, they began the renovation of the buildings and development of the National Park Seminary which is now a fully residential neighborhood featuring condominiums, townhomes, and single family homes.
